I had several people have problems with the Password Reset email. I had originally expected it was just a SPAM Filter issue. But, I believe I found the root cause and fixed it. If you need password reset in order to make Sweet-16 picks, it should now work better. If you have issues, just send me a message for a manual reset.
No need to read further unless you want the technical details. The reset emails are sent via code from my web server, so they don't show up in my inbox as a failed delivery if it does not make it to you. I finally figured out how to see those failed emails on the server. I noticed that the email addresses with the @gmail domain was rejecting them due the email header data not being formatted to a specific internet standard. In short, it was seeing the "To:" email address field twice in the header data. The email address that I used for testing wasn't gmail, so had worked fine for me. I corrected the issue and tested with my own gmail address and it worked like a charm. I am not a professional developer and am self-taught. That means I have to learn on the fly. North Carolina was clearly a bubble team but still got into the tourney with a #11-seed play-in game. Many argued that UNC's resume was not good enough. They were 1-12 against Quad-1 teams. The UNC Athletic Director, Bubba Cunningham, chaired the NCAA Selection committee. Did his influence get them in? Or, did they deserve it?
I say they did deserve it! They had a Quad-1 win against UCLA, so it is obvious that UNC is a great team.
